Anxiety Coach – Online

Fridays 7 March – 21 March 2025, 10am–12pm

Anxiety Coach is a child development course that aims to support you parents and caregivers take a preventative role in the development of anxiety problems and support children to develop skills to reduce anxiety. It is what we call a ‘parent-led’ approach, meaning that you take on the role of the coach in your child’s life, and are able to guide them through difficult emotions when they arise. It is recommended for parents/carers with children aged 4-12 yrs. 3 x 2 hour sessions.

Circle of Security Parenting

Tuesdays 11 February – 25 March 2025, 10am–12pm

Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. It is arelationship based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children aged 0-12 yrs old. Having a secure relationship with your children is about learning from mistakes rather than striving to get it right. Circle of Security Parenting gives parents and caregivers the roadmap to creating a relationship that will benefit their child for their whole life.7 x 2 hour sessions.

Thoughtful Parenting – Online

Wednesday 26 February 2025, 6pm–8pm

Thoughtful Parenting is a 2 hour parenting program for parents & carers with children aged 0-12yrs old. In this program we explore children’s brain development, helping explain why children behave the way they do and provide strategies to better manage our reactions to these behaviours. 1 x 2hr session

Tuning in to teens

Wednesdays 26 February –2 April 2025, 5.30pm–7.30pm

A course for parents/carers of teenagers 12–17-year-olds. Tuning in to Teens aims to help you and your adolescent manage the many emotional challenges of this stage of life. We will explore how to manage your own and your adolescent’s emotions in ways that support you to remain close and keep communicating.  

By learning these skills, you are less likely to have as much conflict within your family and your teen is more likely to talk to you about the challenging issues they face. 6 x 2 hour sessions.

Find connection with other parents/carers and children while learning and playing together. Access to useful information regarding parenting, local services and activities.

Playgroups free and are run during NSW school terms. Playgroups are for Ballina, Byron and Tweed Shire families from 9.30am–11.30am.

The Confidence in Challenging Conversations course equips you with practical skills to navigate difficult conversations with confidence. Whether it’s with your partner, family, friends, or colleagues, this course helps you open up productive and meaningful dialogue. Through a combination of informative sessions, engaging activities, and group discussions, you’ll learn how to handle conflict constructively, stay calm under pressure, and approach challenging situations with confidence.

Anger and Emotional Intelligence

The Anger and Emotional Intelligence is a one-day workshop that focuses on understanding and managing emotions, particularly anger. Participants will explore the five key components of emotional intelligence and learn how to recognise and tune into their feelings. Through a combination of information sessions, practical exercises, and group discussions, the course delves into the triggers of anger, what happens in the brain when it arises, and effective strategies for emotional regulation.

The Self Esteem to Empower Women is a two-day workshop designed to help women understand and strengthen their self esteem. Through a combination of informative sessions, practical exercises, and group discussions, participants will explore how self esteem is influenced, how to challenge negative self-talk, and how to set healthy boundaries in relationships. The course also provides tools for cultivating a positive self-image, empowering women to feel more confident and in control of their lives.

Looking for useful tools and insights that matter to you? Men Online gives you the opportunity to explore real-world topics tailored specifically for men.

In just one hour (6-7pm), you’ll get a quick-hit, engaging session led by a facilitator who knows their stuff and keeps it real! Want to dive deeper? Stick around for extra time  (7-7:30pm) for extended discussion and more strategies to move forward.

Men After Separation

Separation can be tough, especially when kids are involved. Learn how to handle co-parenting, manage conflict, and put your kids first. We’ll cover how mediation works, what’s best for the kids, and ways to avoid the high cost of family law. Plus, we’ll talk about how ongoing conflict affects children and what you can do to keep things smoother.

Keepin’ It Strong, Inside and Out!

Looking after your mental health is just as important as your physical health. In this session, we’ll explore what works to maintain good mental health, how to recognise when things are getting tough, and ways to support a family member facing mental health challenges. We’ll also talk about the best steps to take if things get serious and where to find the right help. It’s all about building stronger mental resilience and knowing how to move forward.

Getting Your Emotions Sorted – Stronger Families, Stronger You

We’ll look at how understanding your emotions can help you take control instead of just reacting. You’ll pick up some easy ways to stay calm, handle anger and anxiety, and manage those intense feelings when they come up. It’s all about being more in charge of your emotions, so you can be your best for yourself and your family.

Men in Stepfamilies

We’ll talk about the challenges and changes that come with forming and growing a stepfamily, and how kids experience it all. We’ll look at stepping up and stepping back when it comes to discipline – who takes the lead? Plus, we’ll discuss the dynamics of being an insider or outsider in your stepfamily, and how to keep your couple bond strong through it all.
