Psychosocial Recovery Coaching
Live more independently and do more of the things you love
At The Family Centre, our Psychosocial Recovery Coaches walk alongside you on your recovery journey—supporting you to build confidence, independence, and connection in your everyday life.
Recovery looks different for everyone. For some, it’s about reconnecting with community. For others, it’s learning new ways to manage daily challenges or gaining confidence to make decisions. Whatever your goals, we’re here to support you.
What is a Recovery Coach?
A Psychosocial Recovery Coach is a specialised NDIS support for people with psychosocial disability (mental health challenges).
Their role is to support you to:
- Live a full and meaningful life
- Build independence and confidence
- Increase social and community participation
- Explore opportunities for education, volunteering or employment
How our Recovery Coaches support you
Our Recovery Coaches take the time to get to know you—what matters to you, your strengths, and your goals.
- Understand and get the most out of your NDIS plan
- Connect with mental health services and other supports
- Learn about evidence-based approaches that support your recovery
- Build skills to navigate daily life and challenges
- Understand your rights and advocate for yourself
- Strengthen relationships with the people important to you
Is a Recovery Coach right for you?
Recovery Coaching is generally funded for NDIS participants with psychosocial disability.
You don’t have to have a Recovery Coach—but if it’s included in your plan, it can be a powerful support to help you:
- Feel more in control of your life
- Navigate complex systems
- Work towards your personal goals
